Once
a week for the next year I'm going to post a review of an album that
has shaped how I think about music, how I feel about myself and
everything else, and that made me want to smash things in to tiny,
tiny pieces. Most of these albums will be metal, but there are some
exceptions to that general rule that have surprised even me while
I've been putting the list together.
The
rules are simple:
- it must be an official studio album release
- any band can only have one album on this list
- I must own a physical copy of the album
- don't try too hard to think... it only leads to lies.
It
would be great to get people to comment on my choices... but remember
the rules above... so when you're angry that Led Zeppelin didn't make
the cut you can rest easy knowing they would if I'd ever bothered to
buy their albums.
To
start you off thinking about the 52 albums that would make your list,
here's a link to make you get mad and thoughtful: 50 game changing hard rock and heavy metal albums
Remember,
don't think too hard....
